Adéla Biography by Gisele Ramos The Provocateur Slovakian singer ADÉLA is proof that early setbacks can open new paths. Eliminated in the first episode of the reality show Dream Academy, aired in 2023, ADÉLA gained visibility as a solo artist. Self-taught in English since childhood and a fan of pop divas like Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Madonna, she moved to Vienna as a teenager to join the Vienna State Ballet and later relocated to London. In 2022, the artist moved to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career and competed in the show that led to the formation of the girl group Katseye. Dream Academy also yielded a documentary series released on Netflix in 2024, titled Pop Star Academy: Katseye. ADÉLA leveraged the exposure to release her first singles, "Homewrecked" and “Superscar,” that same year. Musically, her sound mixes electronic pop with alternative influences, relying on striking beats, synthesizers, and a darker, more provocative atmosphere. Her songs balance more restrained moments with strong, direct choruses, maintaining a modern feel suited for both streaming and dance floors. In early 2025, the singer released her third single, “MachineGirl,” co-produced by Grimes. In May, ADÉLA signed to Capitol Records and Polydor Records, and subsequently released her first EP in August, The Provocateur. It was spearheaded by the single “SexOnTheBeat,” which featured a special appearance by Christina Aguilera in the music video.
