This was originally included on Michael Jackson's 1975 LP Forever, Michael. The album was Jackson's final contractual studio album as a soloist with Motown Records. Jackson was 16 years old at the time. In 1979 Jackson recorded his breakthrough solo album Off The Wall with Epic Records. It was a smash success and Motown cashed in on his new found fame by re-releasing this song. It topped the UK charts, knocking off Smokey Robinson's "Being With You," thereby giving Motown back to back UK #1s. This was Michael Jackson's first solo recording to hit #1 on the UK Singles Charts. However it was only a modest US hit. >>
One day in your life You'll remember a place Someone touching your face You'll come back and you'll look around, you'll One day in your life You'll remember the love you found here You'll remember me somehow Though you don't need me now I will stay in your heart And when things fall apart You'll remember one day One day in your life When you find that you're always waiting For a love we used to share Just call my name, and I'll be there You'll remember me somehow Though you don't need me now I will stay in your heart And when things fall apart You'll remember one day One day in your life When you find that you're always lonely For a love we used to share Just call my name, and I'll be there
