In 1996, Az Yet included a cover version of Chicago’s “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” on their self-titled debut album. The song, later released as a single, was produced by Babyface, remixed by David Foster, featured vocals from Peter Cetera, and peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. The single reached platinum status and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Performance by an R&B Group or Duo with Vocal.
Everybody needs a little time away I heard her say, from each other Even lovers need a holiday Far away from each other Hold me now It's hard for me to say, I'm sorry I just want you to stay And after all that you've been through I will make it up to you, I promise you, baby And after all that's been said and done You're just a part of me I can't let go Couldn't stand to be kept away Not for a day, from your body Baby, I can't live without you, not even for a day Wouldn't wanna be swept away Far away from the one that I love Hold me now It's hard for me to say I'm sorry I just want you to know Hold me now I really wanna tell you I'm sorry I could never let you go And after all that we've been through I will make it up to you, I promise you And after all that's been said and done You're just a part of me I can't let go I can't let go
