The official music video for "Psycho" was released on March 22, 2018, on Post Malone's Vevo YouTube channel. It was directed by James DeFina.[21] It features Malone riding on a FV103 Spartan armored personnel carrier, fighting a wolf with a flamethrower, and Malone with Sign amidst the wreckage of ruined aircraft. As of May 2023, the video has received more than 1 billion views on YouTube.
Post Malone hooks up with Ty Dolla $ign for this chill celebration of luxury. The pair worked together previously when they both contributed in 2016 to "Fade" from Kanye West's The Life of Pablo. The two artists spit throughout the song about their wealthy lifestyles. Malone talks on the hook about the luxuries he has earned, and the trust issues arising from this. The slow moving trap beat is courtesy of Post Malone and the rapper's close friend and engineer Louis Bell. The song reached #1 in its 15th week on the Hot 100. It was the longest climb to the summit for a rap song since Macklemore & Ryan Lewis took 16 weeks to reach the top spot with "Thrift Shop" in 2013. The song was Post Malone's second Hot 100 #1, after "Rockstar." It was Ty Dolla $ign's debut visit to the peak position; his previous best was the #4 position as a featured artist on Fifth Harmony's "Work from Home" in 2016. Speaking about the song's meaning, Malone told Billboard some of the lines are about "super feelin' yourself," which describes how he likes to live his life. The Texan rapper explained he likes to do things that might get him into trouble, but acknowledges "at the end of the day, it all comes back around," so sometimes he needs to step back. Malone added: "You want to have a good time and you want to experience everything, but there's always going to be bad people that want to do bad s--t to ya."
