A couple of days before its release, on May 18, 2022, “HOTEL LOBBY” was officially announced via social media, surprising fans with the track being released under the name of Unc & Phew. The single was first teased with a snippet in an Instagram post on February 23, 2022. A month later, both Murda Beatz and Quavo shared more snippets in an Instagram live and an Instagram post respectively.
