Jax is the babysitter of a girl named Chelsea. Chelsea had gone to Victoria’s Secret with friends to buy bikinis for a boy-girl pool party, but when Jax went to pick Chelsea up, the latter was in tears and said that a girl told her “the bathing suit made [Chelsea] look fat and flat.” Jax, outraged, wrote this song in honor of Chelsea, further motivated by the fact that Jax herself had battled eating disorders and body image issues herself. “I wish someone would’ve said this to me,” Jax said in the video where she was showing Chelsea the song.
