"Lovin On Me" finds Jack Harlow looking for a wild love affair. He's looking to experiment and try new things in the bedroom, but makes it clear he's not interested in anything too kinky or extreme. Harlow's rhymes are both playful and suggestive. He talks about his "vanilla" side, but also makes it clear he's not afraid to be a little bit naughty. Harlow wants to be "choked" and "whipped," but makes it plain as day that he prefers to stay in his lane sexually. "Lovin on Me" samples R&B singer Cadillac Daqle's 1995 track "Whatever" in the hook. Swiss beatmaker Ozan "Oz" Yildirim ("Toosie Slide," "Life Is Good," "Sicko Mode," "Highest In The Room") produced the track with German producer Nik D, who is part of Oz's team. Sean Momberger (YK Osiris' "Worth It," Chris Brown's "Tempo") and Harlow's recording and engineer Nickie Jon Paboìn also get credits. Harlow first teased "Lovin on Me" on social media in October 2023. After the snippet went viral on TikTok, fans begged the rapper to release the full song. He obliged, dropping it through Generation Now and Atlantic on November 10, 2023. This song gave Jack Harlow his first #1 on the UK Official Singles Chart. The Louisville rapper had previously claimed three Top Five hits; "Industry Baby" with Lil Nas X (#5), "First Class" (#2) and "3D" with Jung Kook (#5). "Lovin On Me" climbed to #1 on the Hot 100 dated December 2, 2023. It became Harlow's third leader on the chart, following "Industry Baby," with Lil Nas X (2021) and "First Class" (2022).
