"Pour Me a Drink" pairs Post Malone's signature drawl with Blake Shelton's down-home twang. Both fellas are ready to trade in their troubles for a barstool and a stiff drink come Friday night. Malone raps about everyday woes like a speeding ticket and a team's crushing defeat, while Shelton croons about a love gone south. But hey, misery loves company, right? They both could sure use a good pour. The song itself is a fun, lighthearted toe-tapper penned by Malone and his go-to producer Louis Bell, along with some familiar names from the Morgan Wallen writing camp: Charlie Handsome, John Byron, Rocky Block, and Jordan Dozzi. Bell and Handsome cooked up a breezy country-pop instrumental that wouldn't sound out of place on Shelton's mid-'00s playlist. First hinted at in late May 2024, "Pour Me a Drink" officially hit the airwaves on June 21, 2024, as the second single from Post Malone's country project F-1 Trillion. Directed by Chris Villa (the same guy behind F-1 Trillion's lead single "I Had Some Help"), the video starts with Posty trying to score some brews at a gas station, with Blake Shelton manning the register. They head to a wild lakeside party, where the pair are surrounded by Bud Lights, a drink Malone always seems to have nearby.
