'Cause it's too cold for you here and now Let me hold both your hands in the holes of my sweater While "Sweater Weather" wraps its subject in warmth, Sombr's version flips the sentiment - the holes in the fabric aren't romantic; they're a sign of something falling apart. On the production side, Sombr co-produced the track with Tony Berg, a veteran known for working with Phoebe Bridgers and Andrew Bird. Their collaboration started after Sombr's breakout 2022 single "Caroline" gained momentum, leading him to seek a producer who could help refine his evolving sound. Berg is 50 years older than Sombr, but the two connected over their shared passion for music, forming a working relationship that blends youthful innovation with seasoned expertise.
