The music video was released alongside the single. A "candy-colored" visual, it sees Stefani being joined by a live band, dancing nutcrackers and ballerinas
Gwen Stefani gets her tinsel tangled in "Shake The Snow Globe," a Christmas song where she wonders why Mrs. Claus doesn't get more credit. It's a fun, horn-filled holiday romp where at one point she gets in trouble for spending too much time on Santa's lap (trying to use him as a therapist). It almost lands her on the naughty list, but her Christmas spirit prevails and she ends up back under the mistletoe. The song was written for the Christmas movie Oh. What. Fun., released on Amazon Prime Video on December 3, 2025, a month after the song debuted. The movie is a lighthearted comedy starring Michelle Pfeiffer as a harried matriarch trying to keep it together over the holidays. When she makes a run for it, her family gets a better appreciation for everything she does to make Christmas so special for them year after year. "Shake The Snow Globe" shows up in a big scene and is also used in the trailer. Stefani wrote the song with Madison Love, Sean Douglas and the track's producer, Spencer Stewart. Madison Love co-wrote the Ava Max hit "Sweet But Psycho" and worked on Stefani's 2024 album Bouquet. Sean Douglas' credits include tracks from Nick Jonas ("Levels"), Meghan Trainor ("Made You Look") and Thomas Rhett ("Slow Down Summer"). Spencer Stewart is best known for his work with Laufey. Gwen Stefani is big on Christmas. She released an album to celebrate the season in 2017 called You Make It Feel Like Christmas with a title track she co-wrote. "Shake The Snow Globe" is the first song she wrote specifically to accompany a scene in a film. The song was released on Amazon Music as part of their annual Holiday Originals series on November 5, 2025. On November 14, it was added as a bonus track to Stefani's You Make It Feel Like Christmas album. Other Amazon Holiday Originals in 2025 include "Cozy Little Christmas" by Katy Perry and Marc Anthony's take on "Feliz Navidad." The song was released with a music video that opens with Gwen Stefani as a figurine in a snow globe. She's in a department store during the holidays, which as we all know from Christmas movies (especially Elf), that's where the magic happens. She transforms into real-life Gwen and has a wild time with Santa and the toy soldier dancers before going back into the globe. "The Holidays are so magical and I wanted this video to capture the sparkle and joy of the season," she posted.
