Freestyle

Freestyle is an Electronic Dance Music genre that fuses melodic vocal styles found in 1970s Disco and 1980s Dance-Pop music with synth instrumentation of Electro and Hip Hop. It was developed mostly in New York and Miami, and peaked commercially in the mid-to-late 1980s. Many freestyle releases were put out by Latin American artists, some of whom made Freestyle which was musically influenced by Hispanic American Music. These influences led to the creation of Latin Freestyle.
