Remember the time when Kanye West kept it clean, refraining from explicit content and censoring curses on his Jesus Is King and Donda albums? It's evident that era is now a thing of the past. This profanity-laden song features the F-word 25 times (26 if you include the title). Set against a bass-heavy instrumental, Playboi Carti and Ty Dolla $ign openly articulate their sexual desires. With a beat switch, Kanye West joins in before handing the reins to Travis Scott for a slurred contribution on the same theme. The intro samples Koopsta Knicca's 1994 track "Smoking On A Junt," which, in turn sampled Lil Sko's "Smoke A Sack." Kanye West produced the warped trap banger with Timbaland, SHDØW, Hubi, Digital Nas, AyoAA, Chrishan & JPEGMAFIA. This is one of two Vulture 1 tracks Timbaland worked on, along with "Keys to My Life." He previously co-produced five of West's Jesus Is King tracks. The song developed over a couple of months. A brief preview emerged on November 15, 2023, showcasing the initial collaboration between Playboi Carti and Quavo. By January, snippets of a music video surfaced, hinting at a potential change in collaborators. The final version, unveiled at the official Vultures listening party in February, confirmed that West had chosen to collaborate with Travis Scott instead of Quavo, thereby reuniting the Fe!n brothers. The unfortunate Quavo also got replaced by Freddie Gibbs on another Vultures 1 track, "Back To Me," but Kanye kept his feature on "Paperwork."
